Drive Through Donation Drop-Off

As preventative safety measures for YWCA staff and clients, YWCA made the difficult decision on March 18, 2020 to temporarily halt all non-essential donations of items if they were not part of our immediate COVID-19 related needs. Since that time, we receive emails and phone calls daily from amazing community members who are looking to support our programs and the clients we serve by looking to donate everything from COVID supplies like cloth face masks and Lysol wipes to every day supplies like clothing, toys, and housewares.While our staff is still working diligently to meet the needs of our programs, services and clients, the YWCA Association Board will be hosting a Drive Through Donation Drop off on Saturday, May 2, 2020 from 11 am - 1 pm. If you have items from the list below, load up your trunk and drive through the circle drive at our main building at 605 N. 6th Street on this Saturday. Volunteers will be waiting to greet you and unload your donations for you.Here are the types of items accepted:

Shoes for persimmon should be delivered in a shoe box for shoe-sized container with lid.

While YWCA will accept clothing and accessories for any season at any time of year, donations of spring and summer clothing and accessories are the most needed at this time.

Giving Tuesday

If you would like to make a financial donation, please consider choosing YWCA for Giving Tuesday. Giving Tuesday, a global movement of giving back, is holding a special Giving Day on Tuesday, May 5. You may give in person during the Drive Through Donation Drop-Off, mail a check to YWCA Greater Lafayette at 605 N. 6th Street, Lafayette, IN 47901 or make an online gift. We understand that in these troubling times, not everyone can give. But, if you can, we need your support more than ever.
