When we think of the fight for civil rights and racial justice, we often think of the work of Dr. King. On this day, it is important to not only come together to celebrate the life and work of Dr. King, but also to examine how we are showing up in our daily lives in terms of service to our community, service to others, and the fight for racial equity and civil rights. We still have a long way to go toward true racial justice and eliminating racism, but every day we have the opportunity to effect positive changes in our community through our actions.Below, you will find a list of events around the Greater Lafayette community commemorating the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. We hope to see you at one or more of these amazing community events.
