Get in the game.
Participation in sports and recreation is one of many ways YWCA is on a mission to improve the lives of women and girls in our community. Children who participate in organized sports are more physically active, do better in school and report higher levels of self esteem, compared to their peers who don’t participate in sports.
Our recreational volleyball programs provide options for children as young as 1st grade to participate in volleyball, but we don’t just focus on volleyball. In addition to fundamentals of the game like hitting, passing and serving, we focus on the skills that will enable these athletes to be great teammates down the road: teamwork, communication, and leadership.
