Volleyball Program Update

Dear YWCA Family,

After much careful consideration, YWCA Board of Directors has made the difficult decision to discontinue YWCA-led volleyball programs at YWCA Greater Lafayette.

While the decision may appear to have happened quickly, we can assure you that members of our strategic task force and board have been considering ways to ensure the future sustainability of our important mission-focused work.

While change is difficult, we are thrilled to announce a rental agreement with The Academy Boiler Juniors. Founder and CEO Emily Hawthorne said her organization takes a holistic approach which includes individual skill development of every athlete (regardless of age or level) and providing a cost-effective opportunity (including scholarships & fundraising).

And even better news, familiar YWCA faces Dody McIntyre and a number of coaches will be calling The Academy Boiler Juniors home as well. Pre-season will begin later this month. Watch the YWCA or The Academy Boiler Juniors website for details.

Thank you for many years of trusting YWCA with the development of the young athletes in your family.

Sincerely,

YWCA Greater Lafayette
