UPDATE: In accordance with recommendations from public health officials and the CDC in order to slow the spread of the novel coronavirus, COVID-19, the 2020 Clay Bowl Giving Project has been postponed. We will announce a new date as soon as we are able.
Clay Bowl Giving Project is one of the highlights of the year at YWCA Greater Lafayette. Since the first Clay Bowl in 2001, it continues to be amazing outpouring of creativity, concern and compassion for domestic violence survivors and their families. Local potters are the key component, providing hundreds of unique and beautiful clay bowls for attendees to take home.
Attendees may choose lunch, dinner, carryout or, new in 2020, DELIVERY for orders of 10 or more. Join us for a tasty meal and browse the hundreds of clay bowls and search for the perfect one to take home. Attendees may also chose to purchase additional Clay Bowls. Proceeds from Clay Bowl Giving Project support YWCA Greater Lafayette’s Domestic Violence Intervention & Prevention Program.
Each year, YWCA Greater Lafayette helps hundreds of victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking receive supportive services, emergency shelter, and protective orders through the courts. To put that into perspective, YWCA assists in 75% of all protective orders filed in Tippecanoe County. In addition, YWCA handles an average of 17 calls per day to our domestic violence hotline.
Registration for the 2020 Clay Bowl Giving Project will open in February. For more information on Clay Bowl Giving Project, contact Ericka or call the YWCA Front Desk at 765-742-0075.
