Categories: DVIPP, Empowering Women, News, Violence Prevention & Outreach

potters market 2021October is here and that means the return of The Potters Market, Greater Lafayette Clay Guild’s (GLCG) annual showcase shopping event. Each year, members of the GLCG provide a wide range of handmade pottery at YWCA Greater Lafayette. For clay appreciators of all ages there is something for everyone – functional, sculptural, traditional, contemporary, stoneware, porcelain, earthenware, raku and more. Other than a shopping event to support local artists, clay artists bring awareness of clay as both a fine art and functional craft. This year there are 17 local clay artists to be featured. The event is open to the public and there is no entrance fee.  For the health and safety of all, masks are required and hand-sanitizer will be available.

Clay Guild members have also been providing bowls for YWCA’s Clay Bowl Giving Project for 20 years – all sales benefit the Domestic Violence Intervention & Prevention Program. This year’s Clay Bowl is October 20, 11a-2p. Get your bowl today online.
