YWCA Accepting Artist Submissions for May Exhibit

New Beginnings promoYWCA Greater Lafayette is now accepting artist submissions for "New Beginnings: From Victim to Survivor," in exhibition at Tippecanoe Arts Federation May 7-28. "New Beginnings" tells stories of surviving violence and trauma through art - for hope, healing and awareness.In 2020, YWCA was awarded a grant from the Indiana Arts Commission to support YWCA healing art support group Expressions through the Domestic Violence Intervention and Prevention Program. Works of art created in the therapeutic sessions for clients who have survived domestic violence, sexual assault and other trauma have been featured in "Expressions: A Survivor's Gallery."The work created for "New Beginnings" will impact our community in sharing hope in the face of difficult times and raise awareness for domestic violence.
