YWCA Receives Healing Art Grant From Indiana Arts Commission

The grants allocate state and federal funds to support organizations and projects in 2021.The award of $2,910 to YWCA Greater Lafayette will be used to purchase art supplies for the “Expressions” art workshops conducted by the Domestic Violence Intervention and Prevention Program. Works of art created in the therapeutic sessions for clients who have survived domestic violence, sexual assault and other trauma will be featured in “Expressions: A Survivor’s Gallery” at the Tippecanoe Arts Federation from April 25 through May 21, 2021.Other local organizations receiving grants include the city of West Lafayette, Lafayette Transitional Housing, Joyful Journal Adult Day Service and Wabash Center.For more information about the Expressions support group, call 765-423-7009###
