Salute to Women is a celebration of remarkable women in the Greater Lafayette Community. The first Salute to Women was held in 1974 and has since become an integral part of the mission of YWCA Greater Lafayette. The evening brings focus to empowered women who model a variety of ways to lead, add value to our community and improve the lives of others.

We hope you will consider nominating a woman who deserves to be “saluted” for her accomplishments and her commitment to our community. YWCA Greater Lafayette plans to honor several Women of Distinction.

Salute to Women Nominations

To submit a nomination, fill out a 2020 Salute to Women Nomination Form. You may also pick up printed forms from YWCA Greater Lafayette’s front desk to fill out. Once complete, submit your nominations by email to Jordan Bonfitto, or mail to YWCA Greater Lafayette, Attn: Salute to Women, 605 N. 6th Street, Lafayette, IN 47901. Nominations are due on or before Thursday, December 31, 2019.

Honorees will be selected based on the information submitted in the nomination, as well as any additional information requested or obtained by the selection committee. YWCA wants to hear about all of the phenomenal women who are changing our community for the better, whether through career advancement and workplace innovation, community service, volunteer efforts or activism. Women are change-makers, and our community benefits from their passion and dedication. Help us say thank you and pay tribute to the wonderful women in our area who are paving the way for future generations of empowered women.

In addition to considering a nomination submission, we hope to see you at the 2020 Salute. The banquet will be held at the Trails Banquet Facility in West Lafayette. Reservation information will be available in early January 2020.
