YWCA Greater Lafayette is thrilled to announce that we are participating in the 2018 Allstate Foundation Purple Purse Challenge!
One in three women will experience domestic violence in her lifetime. What’s worse, 99% of all domestic violence cases involve financial abuse. The Purple Purse Challenge is a nationwide fundraising competition that aims to raise awareness of the prevalence of financial abuse, and raise money to support domestic violence survivors through a proven resource: increasing financial literacy.
In October, YWCA Greater Lafayette will be competing against non-profit organizations that serve domestic violence survivors across the country in a friendly fundraising competition. From October 2-31, we will be raising money through our online Purple Purse Challenge fundraising page. Every dollar donated through our challenge page will stay in our community to support the work we do here in Indiana. A grand prize of $100,000 will be awarded to the non-profit that raises the most during the challenge window, making your donations go even further to support our mission and improve the lives of women and girls in our community.

We will need your help! Mark your calendar and donate to our campaign come October 2. But, you can do more…
The Purple Purse Challenge is a Crowdrise Fundraiser, meaning that anyone who supports the mission and work of YWCA Greater Lafayette can join our team and help amplify our message to reach potential donors. If you can’t afford to make a donation at this time, we understand! Help us spread the word. Someone you know may be able to make a donation, and you can help us reach them.
Visit our Purple Purse Challenge fundraising page and join our team! Share the link. Email your friends. Encourage them to make a donation, even just $10 will add up.
